our History

35+ years servicing the communities of Eastern Ontario, selling to many families for multiple generations with honesty and integrity. Gus Birnie, father of Stuart and Stephen started Riverside Pontiac Buick GMC in Prescott in 1978. Ted MacMillan joined Gus in 1983. Shortly after Stuart and Stephen joined the family business.

In 2004, they built a state of the art dealership in Prescott, just off the 401. In 2007, Gus retired leaving Ted, Stuart and Stephen as partners in the business. In 2013 the partners acquired Myers Brockville. The acquisition of Notman's  in 2017 gives us another brand and community to develop and support. We look forward to the relationships that will be developed within the Cornwall area, beginning with our ownership group and extending to all of our valuable staff.
